COVID-19 Safety Precautions in Place – Stage 2 Re-opening Policies

UPDATED Safety Protocol – Covid-19  Re-Opening Policies

As of June 22 – Natural Life will begin our phased return to operations. Please familiarize yourself with the new policies and procedures that will be in effect at the time of your appointment. We take our role and responsibility as a health clinic in the Niagara Region very seriously and to minimize risk and maximize the safety of everyone involved, we have implemented strict adherence to the following policies. Despite all efforts we cannot remove risk completely and require

24 Hrs Prior to your Appointment:

Before coming to the clinic, you will be asked to complete and return an online screening (Covid-19 Self-Assessment Questionnaire) by 6 pm the day before your scheduled appointment. You will receive a link to Natural Life’s online form in your reminder email, and The Ontario Government self-assessment tool can be found here: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/

As per Government regulations, this assessment NEEDS to be completed before we can see you.

If you and/or your child shows symptoms, please email the clinic immediately to reschedule, without penalty (no cancellation fee) and contact Niagara Region Public Health.

You will be required to wait 14 days before your next appointment.

Arriving for your Appointment:

Please come alone, or if the patient is under the age of 16, please have ONE adult attend with your child. If you require a support person, please advise the clinic, as all people entering Natural Life will be required to complete the online COVID screening. Although we love seeing your children and family, we are required to limit the number of people attending the clinic to decrease the risk to all of our patients and staff members.

Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled time and remain in your vehicle. The front door will be locked and our reception area is closed.

At the time of your Appointment:

Your practitioner will call you when they are ready for you to enter the building. They will conduct another verbal COVID screening prior to you entering the clinic. This will help us to determine the level of COVID risk and the amount of PPE required for your appointment.

Your Practitioner will come and greet you at the door at your appointment time. Please ensure you are wearing a face mask before the practitioner opens the door.

We will take everyone’s temperature. If there are no concerns, you will be asked to remove your shoes and make your way up to the washroom to thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water. From here you will enter the treatment room.

Please minimize the number of things you bring in to the clinic with you. For parents, please bring some toys, books, ipad etc for your child as we are no longer able to provide toys.

Your practitioner will use the information you provide to determine the level of PPE required for your appointment. This will include a mask and may also include a gown, face shield and gloves.

Upon Entering the Clinic:

You will be required to come with a mask on. We recognize that it may be difficult for young children to wear masks. As such, we do NOT expect your infant or toddler to do so.

We will be scanning everyone’s temperature before they enter the clinic.

The reception area is closed and we have staggered our appointment times to minimize cross contact between patients.

For your safety, you will also be asked to wash your hands again upon leaving.

Payment will no longer be taken in the office. Payment can be made PRIOR to your appointment via e-transfer to info@naturallifeniagara.com. No password is required as this email has been set up for direct deposit. Once the payment has been received, we will email a receipt.

Process for Practitioners

All staff will have their temperature taken before starting their day.

All staff will complete the online COVID screening prior to beginning their day.

They will be required to wash their hands and don a mask before greeting you at the door.

After each visit, the treatment area, including door knobs, tables and chairs, will be wiped down with Government approved disinfectant.

Pricing

Please note we have increased our prices. The new pricing is available on our website. In keeping with our pricing structure, Natural Life was due for a price increase later this summer and with the recent events this has been expedited. Please understand that with the increased costs associated with PPE, as well as a decrease in capacity to allow for the added cleaning and social distancing protocols, this has impacted our small family business dramatically. Combining these expenses with being shut down for over 3 months, we have no choice but to increase our rates or shut our doors permanently.

We do appreciate your understanding and support.

Cancellations

If you and/or your child answer yes to the Covid-19 Risk Assessment questionnaire or start to show symptoms the day of your appointment, please notify Natural Life immediately to reschedule, without penalty (no cancellation fee) and contact Niagara Region Public Health. You will be required to wait 14 days before your next appointment.

If you need to cancel an appointment, unrelated to Covid-19, no problem. We ask that you be respectful of your practitioners valuable time by giving 24 hrs notice. Our capacity has been greatly reduced due to COVID procedure so please be mindful that there are many patients wanting the few available appointments. Sufficient notice is essential in allowing your space to be filled by another person in need.

If you fail to show without notice, you will be charged for your appointment. Similarly, cancellations without sufficient notice, unrelated to Covid-19, will be charged.
